24-Hours To Improve Item Upgrader
World of Warcraft Item Upgrades Item upgrades are a way to boost the stats of an item. Based on the type of upgrade you choose, it can increase an item's Rarity or Mark Level, and also boost other stats. Upgrades to gear in The War Within requires a certain number of Flightstones and Crests, and each item has an upgrade track. Each upgrade increases the cost of the following one by a certain amount. Item Level When an item gets upgraded, its stats increase in value. This is the sum of an item's leveled-up perks (attack magic attack and defense). Upgrades can be expensive, dependent on who you employ and what you do. This is due to the variety of perks that need to be altered to upgrade an item. The level of an item is a commonly used measure of power, and can be seen on all tooltips for items. It also serves to determine a gating condition when queueing for dungeons, scenarios and raids, and to limit the amount of PvP gear a player can wear (since PvP is limited to a lower level). Players can see their average item level in their character sheet. When deciding whether to purchase or sell gear players can evaluate the levels of the item. It's an excellent indicator of an item's quality and how much damage it's capable of dealing with. Comparing items in the inventory of a seller can be done using the level of the item. On PC, you can view the item level by pressing ALT or using the left stick on XB1 or PS4. The item will be displayed with its full description, including ilvl. You can also find it by hovering over an item and typing in /itemlevel chat. There are many theories about how the item level is determined. One theory is that the item level is a numerical value derived from a formula which calculates how much an item's stats are worth. It is based on the fact that different perks are valued differently, and that gems in sockets increase the value of the item. This could result in an item's ilvl calculated, which is typically very close to Blizzards actual item level. It's not the only factor that affects the value of an item. The location of where the item dropped can also alter its stats. For instance it can increase the item's haste, or crit rating. Items that drop in higher-level instances will have a higher ilvl. Item Stats The item's stats can determine the fate of an item for players. The game makes use of them in a variety of ways to encourage players to not restrict themselves to a particular weapon, and to encourage players to explore other weapons. item upgrading on an weapon increase the base stats. These stat mods are then increased by a player's skill. Upgrades to an item may boost its stats. The rarity of an item determines the cost of upgrading. A grey or white item for instance, can only be upgraded once however, items with rare tiers can be upgraded several times at higher prices. Affixes can also be used to change an item's stats. These are special stat boosts that can be added to an item by the player, and they come in all shapes and sizes. The affixes are used to give items additional damage, special capabilities (such as revitalizing dead or reducing cooling downs), or to distinguish them by adding a name. At present, all affixes can be modified by selecting them in the upgrade window and pressing the green button, which is accompanied by circles arrows. This procedure will cost the player a certain amount of gold and other items which can be added to the upgrade gauge in the same way as the other rerolling options. Players can upgrade an item by specific stats or reroll affixes. The stat ranges are determined by the item's level. However every item will contain at least one stat in that range unless they are a unique item or the item is a God Roll from a boss in a raid. This is another aspect that could be changed by introducing an option to upgrade the equipment without rolling the affixes, or selecting which stats to enhance. Like the base equipment, it will have to be done per item and the item comparison interface wouldn't display all possible stats simultaneously. Item Luck The Luck stat of a player boosts the likelihood of locating items as well as the properties generated by loot, and the intensity of these properties. It doesn't, however directly impact damage or the ability to upgrade items. It gives players the chance to upgrade equipment earlier in the game. This is particularly beneficial in the early game, since players tend to prioritize defenses and weapon scaling over raw damage gains. Luck can also increase the chance of upgrading items at the Blacksmith. This is not to be confused with the Blacksmith's overall upgrade chance that increases with each item level and can be further enhanced through the use of an anti-material such as a Scroll of Strength or a Jewel of Blessing. The shields, armor, and weapons have a default Luck value of 40. These items can be enhanced by golden ingots, spined leather or oak boards (depending on the item's material type) to grant an additional +40 Luck, or to increase the Luck of an item, up to 140. Certain items, such as the Hollow-infused weapon can also be crafted to increase the damage dealt by any skill that causes damage by five percent. These items are available from the shop or made using the correct ingredients. Item Failure Not all upgrades work. However, there are cash shop items that allow players to boost their chance of success or stop them from losing an item in the event that the upgrade fails. When you upgrade an item, the success rate is displayed in the Honing UI. The percentage represents the chance of completing the upgrade successfully and it can be increased by adding Additional Materials or Special Materials. The percentage of success can only be increased so much, and the chance that an upgrade will fail cannot exceed 100%.. The Luck of an item can affect the success of an upgrade. All items have an overall success rate of 25%, and each item with Luck increases the chance of success by five percent. The upgrade overlays of the item are rendered above the items in the inventory. This can obscure enchantment effects and other effects. If you wish to disable the upgrade overlays, the config option decoration.renderUpgradeOverlays can be set to False in the Item Upgrader CORE client config.
